This is a quick overview of the sending flow. For the full step-by-step walkthrough, see the Sending in Carefeed – Full Guide article.
The send experience is consistent across Carefeed, so once you learn it in one place, it works the same way for feeds, direct messages, trainings, surveys, Family Portal invitations, and calendars.
Carefeed defaults to your current community. If you have access to multiple communities, you can choose to send to all communities or filter by division.
Sending in Carefeed – Quick Overview
Step 1: Select Your Recipients Choose who you want to send to using groups (such as residents and families, prospects, or employees), a contact list, specific individuals, or by manually entering a phone number or email address. You can combine multiple recipient types in the same send. As you build your list, the total recipient count displays at the bottom. You can search by name, remove specific contacts, and restore removed contacts at any time. Contacts with missing phone numbers or email addresses, or those who have opted out, are flagged directly in the list.
Step 2: Choose Your Delivery Channel Toggle email, text, or both on or off to select how your message will be delivered.
Step 3: Customize Your Message Settings Fill in your email subject line, sender name, and text message content. Your verified domain (configured in your community profile) will pull in automatically if set up. For text messages, you can also include your community logo. You can save these settings as a default for future sends.
Step 4: Review and Send A summary of your recipients, delivery channel, and message settings displays before you finalize. You can edit any section or jump to a specific step to make changes. Preview your email or text message before sending, then send immediately or schedule for a future date and time.
